ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN / JOB CAPTAIN

TMS Architects & Interiors is seeking an Architectural Technician / Job Captain interested in quality design to be a part of our award-winning full-service architectural firm. Located in Portsmouth, NH, we have been serving the Seacoast and surrounding New England area for over three decades. Our portfolio includes custom luxury homes, historic preservation, country clubs, mixed-use, and many unique projects.

Responsibilities:

– The candidate’s role will be to report to senior leadership and work closely throughout all phases of design and construction documents.
– This position will utilize software and techniques that are appropriate to produce architectural documents and presentations for small to large architectural projects
– Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.
– Performs analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies and limited design layouts.

Requirements:

– Experience developing construction documents and details
– 1+ years of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or similar experience
– Autodesk Revit and Lumion experience preferred
– Experience with wood frame construction preferred
– Ability to think and create in three dimensions
– Detail-oriented with an ability to identify and solve architectural building problems
– A commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
– Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
– Organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
– Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License

PROJECT DESIGNER

TMS Architects & Interiors is seeking a Project Designer interested in quality residential design to be a part of our award-winning full-service architectural firm. Located in Portsmouth, NH, we have been serving the Seacoast and surrounding New England area for over three decades. Our portfolio includes custom luxury homes, historic preservation, country clubs, mixed-use, and many unique projects.

Responsibilities:

– The candidate’s role will be to develop design concepts in tandem with senior leadership and work independently throughout construction documents and construction administration.
– This role will utilize software and techniques that are appropriate to produce architectural documents and presentations for small to large architectural projects.

Requirements:

– 5 to 10 years in developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of design development and construction documents.
– Develops presentation and construction drawings following TMS standards utilizing Revit, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
– Completes architectural design and detailing under the guidance of the project architect.
– Works independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts
– Ability to travel to construction sites for construction administration or site measurements.

Additional Comments:
– Autodesk Revit and Lumion experience preferred

PROJECT MANAGER

TMS Architects & Interiors is seeking a Project Manager interested in quality design to be a part of our award-winning full-service architectural firm. Located in Portsmouth, NH, we have been serving the Seacoast and surrounding New England area for over three decades. Our portfolio includes custom luxury homes, historic preservation, country clubs, mixed-use, and many unique projects.

Responsibilities:

– The candidate’s role will be to develop design concepts in tandem with senior leadership and work independently throughout construction documents and construction administration.
– This role will utilize software and techniques that are appropriate to produce architectural documents and presentations for small to large architectural projects and to continue proficiency.

Requirements:

– Have strong Revit Skills and familiarity with BIM360 in an office environment preferred
– Manages multiple small/medium or large projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates the scope of work.
– Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small to midsize projects.
– Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
– Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments
– 5 to 10 years in developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of design development and construction drawings.
– Works independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts.
